Christmas Décor That Every Home Must Have

1. Christmas
Tree- The ultimate Christmas decoration is a decorated tree. There are a few options to choose from
including Noble and Douglas Fir but the options don’t stop there. People can
choose to get their tree flocked in white, pink, or blue and sprinkled with
glitter. Whichever option you choose
will make your home look and smell like Christmas. If cleaning up pine needles, constant watering
or purchasing a new tree each year is not your idea of fun, there are many
artificial Christmas trees available.
2. Feather
Ornaments- This is a great craft for pre-school or school aged
children. Buy feathers and clear glass ornaments to make
simple tree adornments. Place guinea feathers or
peacock feathers in the ornaments, replace the hook/cap and these ornaments are
complete.
3. Feather
Boa- To take the place of garland for tree, mantle or stair railing use
feather boas made from marabou stork feathers. These are a great
update to typical artificial pine needles options. These may be decorated with ornaments and
light stands for custom decoration.
4. Light
Strands-Whether you go all out and deck your house from roof to lawn in
lights or you like to keep things simple, light strands are essential to
brighten a home for the holidays.
5. Candy
Canes- The whimsical combination of red and white swirled together is
simply irresistible. Use artificial
versions on the tree to reuse year after year, but place real candy canes in a
vase to create a beautiful table top decoration and to offer to holiday guests.
6. Stockings-
Stockings hung from a mantle with care are a Christmas must have. If you don’t have a mantle or even a
fireplace, hang stockings on a stair rail, or chair backs.
7. Wreath-
Artificial wreaths are available in countless options. They can be completely made from ornaments,
faux pine sprigs, or covered in fake lollipops and candy canes. Real versions are also available from
Christmas tree lots, they will welcome guests to your door with the enticing
pine smell, but they will need to be replaced each year.
8. Cinnamon
Candle- Let the aroma of Christmas greet your guests as they enter your
home. Light a cinnamon or gingerbread
scented candle approximately thirty minutes before guests arrive to fill your
home with the heart-warming scents.
9. Festive
throw- temperatures are almost always cooler in the winter months than the
summer. Update your couches or favorite
family room chair with a festive snuggly throw blanket. Chenille, crushed velvet, and cotton blankets
make great opportunities to cuddle with loved ones over hot cocoa. Traditional colors and classic Christmas
prints are the best choices.
10. Snow
Globe- Every kid…and adult can not resist tipping over a snow globe to turn
the song key and give it a few shakes.
Watching the 'snow' fall over a sleepy town, snowman or Santa Claus is
nostalgic and magical year after year.
