Supplies you’ll need:
-Thin floral wire
-Satin ribbon or twine
-Pipe cleaners
-Hot glue
-Mini Natural Peacock Tail Body Feathers
-Natural Guinea Hen Plumage Feathers
-Brown Duck Cochettes
-Brown Reeves Venery Pheasant Feathers
-Ivory Goose Coquille Feathers
-Scissors
Step 1:
Take two brown duck cochettes and place one on top of the other. Then layer the guinea or pheasant feather and the ivory goose feather on top of those. Place the peacock feather on the very top, so all of your feathers are layered on one another.
Step 2:
Take around a 2-inch length of floral wire and gently wrap it around the bottom quill section of the feathers. Fan the tops of the feathers out until it is arranged how you like it. Squeeze and pinch the wire flat to hold the feathers in place.
Step 3:
Place a drop of hot glue on the end of the ribbon or twine, attach it to the quills, and let it dry. Begin tightly wrapping the length of the quills with it. If there is not enough quill length and it seems too short or skinny, cut a pipe cleaner to the appropriate length and attach it to the quills with another drop of hot glue. Wrap over the pipe cleaner with the string. When you have covered everything, place a drop of glue at the end of the ribbon or twine to hold it in place.
Step 4:
Let the hot glue dry and adjust your feathers as you see fit. Use a boutonniere pin to attach it onto clothing for your wedding day!
