Tips for Skin, Makeup & Hair
We all like to look our best, but unfortunately we do not have the time and energy to put into our appearance every day. Sometimes we have to make a spur of the moment run to the store in our sweat pants or we pick up our children from school make-up less with hair pulled back into a lackluster pony tail. There is nothing wrong with being “real” and having days where we don’t appear as put together as we'd like but we have some simple tips on freshening up your assets to help you look amazing anytime.

Skin Tips
Astringent- Everyone has different facial routines. Some support healthy skin with acne creams and others with gentle cleansers. It is important to use a gentle astringent such as Witch Hazel to reduce the size and appearance of pores. Once pores diminish, skin will appear softer and produce a healthy glow. Because the astringent closes pores it also helps skin stay guarded from unwanted dirt which can cause blackheads.
Moisturizer- After cleansing skin and closing your pores it is important to apply a light moisturizer at night. From all of the toxins your skin came into contact with throughout the day, and from a good cleaning at night, rejuvenate your skin with a moisturizing facial lotion.
Sunscreen- Sunscreen is always important no matter the season. Wear a light S.P.F. that is non-greasy to protect your skin from harmful rays.
Make-Up Tips
Concealer- Wearing concealer underneath eyes can cover up skin discoloration or “bags” to give your face a brighter appearance. Concealer should be used in any skin areas that appear red or blemished to give skin color consistency.
Brightener- After makeup is applied place a brightener on skin in key areas to enhance your youthful glow. Brightener, also known as highlighter, should be applied to the inner eyes, just underneath brow lines, the bridge of the nose and cheekbones. Your face will appear dewy and healthy.
Lip Balm- Nothing says tired and out of time like dry lips. Get into the routine of placing a moisturizing lip balm on before bed and before applying lip stick. Your lips will be protected from the crisp, windy weather not to mention soft and plump.
Hair Tips
Ponytail- For those of us that love a classic ponytail but don't want to appear uninspired, try adding a few feather extensions. Hair feather extensions will update your boring “do” and draw attention to your face and your stylish hair. Try peacock feathers for a splash of color this fall.
Bangs- With a few snips of scissors your hair can take on a fresh new look. Have a professional stylist cut straight a heavy layer of bangs that come just above the lash line to emphasize your eyes and girlish appearance.
Bold Color- Lose the highlights this season to create a fierce freshness. Warm chocolate and honey colored hues will brighten up your skin tone and give rich color to your locks for winter.
