Go Boho!

Fun ways to urbanize your look

Many movie stars have adopted a Bohemian look as their signature style. Sure, on camera or at award shows they are all glammed up in sequins and diamonds, but just as you and I have many moods, so too do they. Away from all of the fuss of Hollywood, the Boho style is fun, relaxed and has a very urban vibe. Whether you are famous or not, you too can adopt this relaxed style into your daily routine. Not only does a Boho look offer a woman a new take on everyday style, it also is often based on comfort and mood calming colors.

Check out some easy ways to take the hassle out of your everyday look.

Dresses-Who doesnt love a loose fitting dress? We feel free and uninhibited by tight pants or rising shirts when wearing a comfortable cotton dress. Choose a dress in natural colors such as tan, browns and auburn to keep with the Boho style. An empire waist (fitted on top and loose at the waist) will give your body hugging curves on top and relaxed camouflage on bottom. Many bohemian styled dresses are strapless or spaghetti straps which work well for spring and summer but will leave a girl chilled in the cooler months. Wear a simple cardigan overtop to shield your shoulders from cold weather.

Tops- Cotton prints with embroidered motifs are great to pair with a tan pair of shorts or boyfriend jeans. A simple tie up neckline or square-necked blouses are relaxed details that will not go unnoticed.

Hair- Keeping hair free with its natural waves is very popular. For a no fuss hair style pull hair into a low side pony tail or a twisted braid, and add in a rooster hair feather extension for added style. Bangs are another great way to keep your look fresh without too much hassle.

Jewelry- Feathers are the best Boho accessory around. A simple pendant with pheasant feather accents on a necklace or a pair of pheasant feathers fashioned into earrings are naturally trendy. A main goal of bohemian style is playing up natural beauty and feathers are the perfect jewelry accent.

Shoes- Nothing says Boho like a comfortable sandal. But not just any sandal will do, choose a strappy leather shoe in camel or tan. Flip flops may be too laid back, but add a heel strap to a simple flip flop and you are good to go. Anything with too much height or glitz will seem out of place in a Bohemian ensemble. Stay with neutral colored flats and straps and add some peacock feathers for that special bohemian touch.
