Pastel Floral Feather Arrangement
Share
Springtime means Easter, pastels, flowers, sunshine, and fresh air! Continuing with our spring series here on the Moonlight Feather blog, this DIY pastel floral feather arrangement will add some soft color to your home to help you ring in the spring in style. The soft texture of ostrich confetti feathers adds a nice touch to the daisy's in this arrangement as well! Use this project as a table centerpiece or just as a fresh decoration in your home, classroom, or gathering place. It’s easy to make in just a few minutes with a few supplies, and you can customize it to fit your needs!
Supplies you’ll need:
-Pink carnation artificial flowers
-White daisy artificial flowers
-2 or 3 lbs. of pastel colored candy (jelly beans, Jordan almonds, etc.)
-Large round vase
-Small clear vase or cup (small enough to fit inside the large vase)
-Lime Green Ostrich Confetti Feathers
Step 1:
Place your smaller vase into the center of the large one. Begin pouring the candy around the smaller vase until the large vase full to the top all the way around. Once you are finished, the small vase should not visible from the outside. This step will help you to use less candy to fill your vase, while also making it easier to arrange your artificial flowers in a neater manner!
Step 2:
Arrange the pink carnation flowers in the smaller vase until it looks full. It helps to bend the stems at different angles to give it a fuller, neater feel! Sprinkle in the daisies by scattering them throughout the arrangement. Add the lime green ostrich confetti feathers in next to the daisies so that they look like wispy leaves. You can add one or two feathers to each daisy. Fluff up the flowers and feathers and inspect your arrangement. Fill in any places that look sparse or gappy. You are now done!
Feel free to get creative as well; you can add a bow or a ribbon around the vase, use several kinds of candy as filler, use different colored flowers or even real flowers (using the small vase to hold water for them!), make several large or small vases full and use them all together as a centerpiece, use it as party or Easter brunch decor; the sky is the limit!
Happy Spring!
