Peacock Feather Wedding Favors

Weddings are a fun and beautiful occasion for you and your guests to celebrate the love you have found! Candy is a classic wedding favor that is easy to find and will give your guests an extra kick of energy to dance the night away. Pair it with some simple tulle, ribbon, and peacock feathers, this tutorial is quick and simple to help give your wedding that extra touch of something sweet and pretty! Stop by your local craft store to pick up some supplies and let’s get started!

Supplies you’ll need:

-Circles of tulle fabric (can be found in the wedding section of your local craft store)

-Ribbon in a coordinating color

-Candy filler (any kind that won’t melt)

-Mini Peacock Natural Tail Body Feathers

-Scissors

Step 1:

Make sure you are working on a clean work surface, and begin by taking one tulle circle and lay it down flat. Grab a small handful of candy and place it in the center of the circle.

Step 2:

Using your scissors, cut a length of ribbon about 6” long if you want to tie a bow, or 4” long if you want to just double knot.

Step 3:

Gather the edges of the tulle and pull them together at the top so the candy is safely inside. Firmly hold it to prevent candy from falling out while you wrap the ribbon around the tulle you have gathered, and tie it in a knot or a bow.

Step 4:

Take your peacock feathers and your scissors. Cut off the skinny quill end, leaving about ¼ inch at the end to work with. Take the peacock feather and your candy favors, and tuck the end of the peacock feather into the ribbon tie of the candy bag.

Step 5:

Inspect the candy favors and make any adjustments like fluffing out the tulle or moving the feather to a more aesthetically pleasing position! Repeat the process until you have enough candy favor bags for each guest and store them in a sealed container in a cool, dry area until your wedding. You are all done!
