St. John Carnival

ST.JOHN CARNIVAL at Virgin Island

Carnival is a great time to let it all out and a great time to see some great feathers! Deborah St. Clair, a Moonlighter in St. John Virgin Islands, blew us away with some of her creations! Seeing her pictures and description of the month long event filled with festivities include musical venues, the village, food fair, parades and fireworks had me slowly drifting away from my mundane office desk :)

Below: Pheasant headdress using Reeves pheasant, Golden pheasant and large Lady Amherst's tails. By the way, that's Deborah's son.

Below: Parade participants wearing dyed half bronze rooster schlappen and dyed rooster head dresses and bikini top.
