Turkey Feathers for Costumes, Crafting, Holidays , and much more!

This week we are highlighting turkey feathers. Turkey feathers come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. We’ll be taking a look at some of our softest fluffiest trim, festive boas, Turkey mid-sized feathers, as well as some large, majestic primary wing feathers.

The first feather is our natural Wild Turkey Flats. These North American wild turkey feathers are 4-6 inches in length and have a rare metallic bronze sheen on the tips. These feathers are ideal for crafts, earrings, and decoration.

Another way we like to use turkey flats is in our festive feather boas. These luxurious turkey flat feather boas will surely be an attention getter. This one is dyed a vibrant purple, but we also offer white, black, red, multi color, and pink. Our boas are made by sewing the feathers to a nylon cord and cotton covered wire. These keeps them from losing their shape. They come 6 ft long and can be cut easily with wire cutters. These boas can easily be sewn or hot glued to a costume or decoration.

The next feather we are highlighting is our Gold Painted Turkey Wing feather. These feathers are 10-12 inches in length and 1 ½ to 2 inches wide. They are stiff and sturdy and perfect for painting on. You can paint names on these feathers to assign seats for your wedding guests, or make quill pens to display on the desk at your office.

These feathers are trimmed to have a round tip. This makes them have an appearance that is very similar to that of eagle fathers.

Another stiff variety you can find at Moonlight Feather comes from a turkey’s wings. These Pointed Turkey Primary Wing Feathers are even longer than the rounded tip wing feathers. The tips are cut to give them a pointed uniform appearance.They are great for angel wings, headdresses, and any other projects in which a sturdy feather is required.

The last turkey feather we will be highlighting this week is our Marabou Turkey Fluff Feather Trim. This is a short trim, approximately 3 inches in height. This trim is dense, fluffy and perfect for costumes, princess-party decor, or even to add some extra fun to a vase or centerpiece. This ivory trim is soft and dreamy.
